Description
MIKROSHA-3000 induction heater is a further development of the idea behind MIKROSHA-2000, i.e. it is designed for heating metal parts: nuts, bolts, levers, rods and flat iron surfaces under the influence of alternating magnetic field in the inductor, for HFI heating of small workpieces for hardening, as well as for heating and bending of metal rods. In the variant of induction mini-furnace for melting gold MIKROSHA-3000 in graphite crucible enables to develop temperature of more than 1300°C. С. The principle of operation is based on the creation of eddy currents in the heated part, and since the metal has considerable resistance to the electric current flowing through it, it also glows, absorbing the energy of the emitter field. Graphite behaves similarly to metal, being heated in the inductor field, which makes it possible to melt non-magnetic metals in the crucible.
Experience of production of MICROSHY-2000 showed that for some applications, except car service, the duration of its operation before the thermal protection triggers is not enough. It is clear that when creating MIKROSHI-2000 we proceeded from the main task - to minimize the size of the device as much as possible. Even on such a small device we received comments in the style of "how to get to the exhaust manifold in BMW? Nevertheless, it copes with its task perfectly, the nuts are "hurrah", to get under anywhere possible, but here for the conveyor bending bars and use in the version of the induction mini-oven is ill-suited, because it inevitably overheats.
In MIKROSHE-3000 is set more powerful HF transformer, the primary winding is made of factory litzendrat LELD-155 1075h0,071 (1075 insulated wire diameter 0,071mm), the secondary section of 30 mm square, the findings on the brass bolts M8, as in MIKROSHE-15-8. The 92x92x25mm, 24Vx0,3A fan provides cooling of all electronic components to a sufficient degree for continuous operation of the device under load. The inductors for the MICROSHE-3000 are made of copper tubing and require water cooling. We understand that users will experiment with both wire inductors and tubing without water cooling. In this aspect, we suggest to take any welding machine without "anti-slip" for more than 200 amps (real amps, not Chinese), clamp the wire between the electrode holder and clamp of mass and see what happens to it. In the induction heater MIKROSHA-3000, the current is more than 240A, and even HF. The device will work, but the heat from the red-hot inductor will heat the lead bolts and textolite insulating front plate under the bolts will gradually begin to burn out, char and stink. In that case, you must order a spare one at once, for self-repair. If you want to work for a short time, i.e. heat a nut, bolt, etc., you can use inductors made of copper wire F=3 mm, as in MICROSHE-2000, the heating will be fast and efficient. But if you need to remove the glued windshield of the car, you need to use the inductor in the form of a flat spiral of 4 - 6 mm tube with water cooling, because the process is somewhat delayed, compared to the nut.
The heater has a power control and a socket for connecting a foot control. The heater can be optionally equipped with a handle button. The outputs of the button are connected to the same socket for the pedal (external control). If a foot pedal or a button is connected to the socket, the "heating" switch on the front panel of the unit is blocked.
MIKROSHA-3000 induction heating unit is equipped with one inductor made of copper tube with diameter F=6 mm. The same inductors as for MIKROSHA-15-8-HF are suitable for it. For heating of workpieces with diameter less than 15 mm inductors are made from Ф=4 mm tube, conclusions of inductors from Ф=6 mm tube are soldered by hard copper-phosphor solder to helix from Ф=4 mm tube. Insulating stocking combined: ShK-4 + ShK-6. Flat spiral inductor, depending on the required degree of energy concentration, can be made both from F=4 mm tube and from larger diameters. Spiral from a tube F = 4 mm without water cooling burns out in about 5 seconds after applying current, as the tube is thin-walled, unlike the wire. It is possible to use flexible inductor as in MIKROSH-2000, but with M8 cable lugs for fixing to the bolts of the front panel. The main condition is not to overheat the flexible inductor and the bolts and to avoid damaging the panel textolite. The energy concentration of the heater can be increased by reducing the heating area. For example, the inductor from the tube F=6 mm with inner diameter F=20 mm in the standard version has 8 turns. The total length of the heated part is 60 mm. It is not possible to make it shorter, because the inductance will be too small and the power output of the device will decrease. To maintain the required value of the inductance range and to reduce the winding length it is necessary to wind the tube in 2 layers: the first layer 3 turns and the next 2 turns. With this winding, the inductance will be about the optimum, and the length of the heated section will already be about 20 mm, and the power delivered by the microshell will be concentrated on a smaller area, so that the power density will be increased. If the inductor will be too "short", i.e. for example 1 coil of small diameter, the MICROSHA-3000 will perceive it as a short circuit between the lead screws (transformer secondary short circuit) and simply will not heat. It is not a problem to make the required inductor yourself, all it takes is a tube and a mandrel for winding. If the number of turns deviates from the optimum, the machine will automatically adjust the frequency to the new parameters of the circuit within 20-50 kHz, but in any case we will make any inductor for your tasks, as long as these tasks are feasible for the given power of the induction heater.
TO AVOID A SELECTION ERROR: THE MICROSHA-3000 IS NOT DESIGNED FOR TAPPING CARBIDE INSERTS ON LATHE CUTTERS, IT IS NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH FOR THIS PURPOSE.
The printed circuit board of MIKROSHI-3000 is coated, as on all our machines, with "Viksint-PK68" compound, which protects the board from dust and dirt. On inductors there is a stocking-tube made of ceramic heat-resistant thread for insulation of turns between themselves and the part. In case of thread abrasion and short circuit between the coils, the induction heater will be safe, but it will not heat. MIKROSHA-3000 has protection against short circuit and accidental switching on without inductor-emitter, and small dimensions of induction heater allows to operate the device both in desktop and mobile version.
